Langley, Canada; After just three short years, the Knelson-Sizetec brand of vibrating screens has grown into a formidable supplier of reliable, high efficiency screens for the mineral processing industry.
“We’re really pleased with market response since we introduced the Knelson-Sizetec brand in 2003” commented Brett Knelson; Knelson’s VP of Business Development.
“Although it took us a while to get people to think Knelson-Sizetec when they were looking for screens, the fact that most Knelson installations require some kind of pre-screening made it a logical product line for us to develop. Sizetec screens were already a well established product in the mineral processing industry and this certainly helped us a great deal” Knelson added.
Knelson-Sizetec offers of a complete line of screen types for applications including gravity concentrator feed screens, carbon sizing and de-watering for CIP and CIL circuits, cyclone overflow trash screens and high capacity scalping screens for a wide variety of applications.
“We’ve already developed a good reputation for our quality and service” stated Knelson referring to a recent screen order from Teck-Cominco for the Pogo Mine in Alaska. “Our client came to us with a rush order for a Knelson-Sizetec model DFS 48 screen for a filter feed trash removal application that they needed delivered ex-works in 4-5 weeks. It was a challenge given how busy our production department was but they rose to the occasion and actually managed to get the unit manufactured and shipped in just over 3 weeks.”
In addition to Teck-Cominco; Pogo Mine – USA, Knelson-Sizetec has supplied screens to: Queenstake; Jerritt Canyon – USA, Aurizon Resources; Casa Berardi – Canada, Crystallex; Las Cristinas – Venezuela, Penõles; Tizapa Mine – Mexico, Placer Dome/Barrick; Campbell Mine – Canada, Coeur d’Alene Kensington Mine – USA
