Back to WHAT'S NEW

November, 2005

Perth, Australia; Knelson Gravity Solutions has once again signed on as a corporate sponsor of the AMIRA P420C Gold Processing Technology research project.

The objective of the program consists of research into short and long term initiatives in gold processing including environmental issues, alternative leaching technologies and the treatment of refractory ores. Although the P420C program is not a direct extension of the pre-cursor project P402B, the project will benefit from access to previous research and the on-going involvement of senior staff.

In addition to Knelson Gravity Solutions project sponsors include AngloGold Ashanti Australia, Barrick Gold, Bateman Engineering, Goldfields Australasia, Gekko, Intec, Kemix, Oceana Gold,  Orica Australia, Placer Dome Asia Pacific, Placer Dome Technical Service, Rio Tinto and Westfarmers CSBP.

The total annual budget for P402C is $1,648,032 and the work will be conducted under the direction of the AJ Parker Cooperative Research Centre for Hydormetallurgy located at Murdoch University in Perth.
