Knelson has been pioneering the research, development and commercial application of gravity concentration equipment for 30 years. Throughout this period, the Knelson Research and Technology Centre has processed literally thousands of ore samples - mainly for precious metals - and as such, the equipment and procedures have been required to meet the most rigorous standards for quality and reliability.

Knelson is proud to offer this state-of-the-art line of proprietary lab equipment to you. Not only can you be assured that all of this equipment will meet the exacting standards that the Knelson brand is famous for, you can rest easy knowing that Knelson stands behind every product we produce.

KNELSON ROTARY SPLITTER

 Knelson Rotary Splitter

The use of a rotary splitter (spinning riffler) has been reported to be a superior method for reducing sample size or removing a small sample from a bulk granular or powdered sample.

The Knelson Rotary Splitter is designed to split the material directly into containers of choice hence, the unit is not limited by small fixed size receiving containers found with most rotary splitters. The unit is supplied with eight 20-litre plastic pails.  The use of standard size pails allow for easy replacement in the case of damage and cross contamination is virtually eliminated if the pails are replaced between splits.

A cascading flow of material enters the feed funnel and is evenly distributed between a total of 8 discharge ports.  Both the vibrating feeder and the rotating distributor are equipped with variable speed drives enabling precise control when splitting different types of sample materials.  This splitter minimizes influence of grain size, specific gravity or grain shape.  Split samples are representative and can be combined to yield larger sample sizes.

During operation the vibrating feeder and the rotary splitter are bolted together however, each device is free standing and can be used independently if desired.  Both units are on locking wheels to provide easy mobility.

The rotating splitter can be used for a wide variety of sample sizes and effectively splits the sample into eight (8) sub-samples.
