Langley, Canada; Knelson Gravity Solutions has recently completed manufacture of the world’s largest ConSep ACACIA Reactor destined for the gold rich ‘Sukhoy Log’ region of Siberia, Russia.

The unit, a ConSep ACACIA Model CS8000 is capable of processing 10 to 12 tonnes per day of highly enriched gravity concentrates produced by four (4) KC-XD48 concentrators.

“When you see it all together and working it’s certainly an impressive piece of equipment” commented Brett Knelson; Knelson’s VP of Business Development and Projects.

“We were working to a very tight delivery schedule which made this one of the most challenging projects that we have undertaken to date and as usual, our team, along with plenty of help from our technology partners at ConSep, came through and got the job done on time and on budget” added Knelson.

The ConSep ACACIA Reactor is the most advanced and proven technology of it’s kind available in the mining industry.  Developed in the mid 1990’s at AngloGold Australia’s Union Reefs Mine, there are now 30 systems sold and/or operating successfully worldwide.

Gavin Fletcher, Senior Metallurgist - Afrika Mashariki Gold Mines, Tanzania

"The testwork for our operation suggested that a gravity circuit was not required due to the lack of free gold in the deposit. Thankfully the final design included an XD30 and gravity recovery is in the order of 6-10%. The free gold is very fine and subsequent tabling is very inefficient. Recent testwork of the ACACIA reactor suggests we will be able to double our gravity gold production, improve security in the gold room and also improve the health and safety of the gold room by alleviating the need for smelting of "dirty" gravity concentrates." ...more > >
