The Knelson batch concentrator is widely considered to be the most technologically advanced gravity recovery batch system available today. It replaces all conventional gravity recovery equipment such as sluices, jigs, cones and spirals.
The concentrator is commonly applied as a primary recovery device in precious metal milling circuits and alluvial treatment plants.
The batch model Knelson Concentrator operates on two basic principles; enhanced gravitational force and a patented material fluidization process.

The Knelson Continuous Variable Discharge concentrator (CVD) was developed to address the limited mass yield of the batch concentrator.
It's engineered for applications that require enhanced gravity separation for the continuous processing of ores with a relatively high content of target mineral. It uses similar principles of mineral separation and recovery to that of the batch concentrator, but allows the concentrate to be extracted from the fluidized bed on a continuous basis.
The CVD concentrator is commonly applied as a recovery device in applications such as chromite, cassiterite, iron ore, silver, native copper, gold sulphides, and tantalite.
