Please follow the below guidelines when shipping a mineral sample to KRTC. If you have any questions please contact KRTC.

Shipping a Sample Within Canada

  1. Label the package "Mineral Ore"

  2. Ship to:

Shipping International Samples

  1. Label the package "Mineral Ore - No Commercial Value (value for customs $1)"

  3. International samples will require a commercial invoice.

  4. IMPORTANT - For all samples:
    • Confirm by fax (1-604-888-4013) or email when you have sent the samples so we can monitor the shipment progress
    • Include a contact name and phone number to whom all correspondence should be directed
    • Enclose a commercial invoice with the sample for samples from outside of Canada (see above)
    • Include any special processing instructions or background regarding the sample that may help in determining optimum test conditions and interpretation of data for the final report
    • Indicate if the samples of the concentrate and/or tails are to be returned after processing. Include the shipping address

"The first time I saw a Knelson concentrator in action was at HBM&S's Photo Lake Mine mill (old Stall Lake mill) at Snow Lake, Manitoba. At the time, we were mining 9% Zn, 3% Cu and 0.13 oz/t Au. We were supposed to be at a base metal mine but in actuality we were producing more gold per tonne than they were finding at the New Britannia Mine in town! The barrel beneath the concentrator was open at the top and full to the brim with heavies.
