Knelson Batch Pressure Filter

The batch pressure filter is used to remove excess liquid from slurries. This portable, free-standing model allows for effective space utilization especially in a smaller lab.The stainless steel pressure chamber has a diameter of 200mm (8 inches) and a slurry capacity of 12 litres (2.5 Us gallons). The bottom of the device is designed to ensure adequate removal of liquid through the discharge port.

The filter cloth and filter paper are sealed between the body and base creating an effective seal. The slurry is poured in the chamber and the swing away lid is then tightened using the threaded hand wheel.A Linatex® gasket seals the upper lid preventing air or material from escaping.Compressed air is then introduced to the chamber to provide the pressure required for fast filtration of solids.Actual filtration time may be affected by the nature of the solid-slurry mixture.

The base of the unit lowers and swings away for ease of filter cake removal. The stainless steel construction is resistant to corrosion and allows for fast and effortless clean up.
