The KC-MD3 Knelson Concentrator was developed in response to industry demands for a laboratory version of the Knelson Concentrator that could be used to process various types of mineral samples to recover fine-grained heavy mineral particles.

This concentrator, along with the gravity recoverable gold (GRG) test, has now become the industry standard for all state-of-the-art metallurgical laboratories around the world. It has also been extensively applied in the field as a reliable and accurate method of quickly reducing the volume of heavy mineral samples into very small quantities of highly enriched concentrates. These concentrates can be inexpensively transported from the field to the laboratory for further analysis.

The KC-MD3 is backed by a one year, parts and labour warranty, including an extended two-year warranty on the inner concentrate cone.

Similar to the complete line of Knelson Concentrators, the KC-MD3 concentrator offers unsurpassed free-gold recoveries, ease of use, proven reliability and cost efficient operation.

The Knelson Laboratory KC-MD3 Concentrator offers:

  • 100% sanitation between samples
  • Wear-resistant, long-lasting polymer inner cone
  • All stainless-steel wetted parts
  • Full portability
  • Accepts a wide range of feed sizes
  • Tolerates wide variations in slurry densities
  • Operation virtually unaffected by slimes and clays
  • Low water and power consumption
  • Standard garden hose from domestic source supplies all required water
  • Quick and easy concentrate removal
  • Low maintenance and operating costs

Our work was made easier and the downstream local gold panners were amazed. Thanks to all of you." - Babacar Diouf, Project Geologist - Randgold Resources, Senegal ...more > >
