The ConSep ACACIA Reactor is a patented, high efficiency leaching system, exclusively designed to handle the high-grade concentrates produced by Knelson Concentrators.
The system is designed to maximize gold recovery from gravity concentrates and provide numerous process advantages over a conventional gold room.
The ConSep ACACIA Reactor recovers gravity gold as an electrowin product and allows daily accounting of gravity concentrate. The system can be designed to almost any plant requirements while the design integrity will not compromise the process.
The ACACIA Reactor is a batch system, unlike other intensive cyanidation products, and cannot suffer from short-circuiting of solids. Attempts to modify previously available leaching systems to handle Knelson concentrates have met with limited success.
The system has achieved excellent production results from real installations in large gold plants. Actual production results from installations of the ConSep ACACIA Reactor have seen gravity recoveries increase by over 50% compared to previous concentrate treatment methods.
The ACACIA is available in 8 different models ranging in capacity treatment. Testing services are also available that offer accurate and scalable results for predicting full-scale installation performance.
The system has proven performance, installations and mechanical design to ensure the best possible combination of high recovery, low running costs, reliability, and service and support.
Advantages
Numerous process and design features contribute to the ACACIA's increased recoveries, mechanical reliability and operator safety.
Performance
The ConSep ACACIA Reactor has been extensively assessed at several large gold plants and has produced the following general results.
- Recoveries into solution are typically above 95%, with actual plant recoveries averaging above 98%.
- Typical electrowinning recoveries are above 97-99%.
- Increase in gravity gold recoveries has ranged from 20% - 50%, depending on performance of the previously installed concentrate treatment system.
