The semi-continuous (batch) Knelson Concentrator is the most widely utilized centrifugal gravity concentration device in the industry.

With unit capacities ranging from laboratory scale to 1000 tonnes of solids per hour, the Knelson Concentrator combines centrifugally enhanced gravitational forces with a patented bed fluidization process to provide unmatched performance in the recovery of precious metals.

Rugged design and a high degree of quality manufacturing ensures that every Knelson Concentrator will provide many years of reliable, trouble-free operation in even the most severe operating environments.

The semi-continuous Knelson Concentrator has been successfully applied in the recovery of gold, platinum, silver, mercury and native copper.

The semi-continuous Knelson Concentrator is available in three models; Extended Duty (XD), Centre Discharge (CD), and Manual Discharge (MD).

Series
Extended Duty (KC-XD) Knelson Concentrators

The Knelson Extended Duty series (KC-XD) is the premium class of semi-continuous (batch) centrifugal concentrators available in the mining industry today.

The XD was specifically designed to withstand the severe operating conditions inherent to hard-rock milling circuit. Compact design, rugged construction and the highest possibly level of quality components makes KC-XD the unit of choice for the most demanding precious metal recovery applications.

Centre Discharge (KC-CD) Knelson Concentrators

Until the introduction of the XD series, the Knelson Centre Discharge series (KC-CD) was the industry workhorse and most widely used centrifugal recovery device of available.

The KC-CD has now become the machine of choice for most alluvial mining operators where conditions are generally less severe than those present in hard rock mill environments. The CD series is also an economical alternative for applications where project economics may not support the purchase of a premium class KC-XD unit. While the CD series provides a cost effective althernative to the XD series through the use of carbon steel construction it still provides precisely the same high level of metallurgical performance as the XD model line.

Laboratory & Testwork Knelson Concentraotrs

Knelson offers laboratory and pilot-scale concentrators for bench-scale testwork, in-plant sampling and for in-field alluvial exploration projects.

Lab and pilot-scale Knelson Concentrators has become the standard in all state-of-the-art metallurgical laboratories around the world. Ranging in throughput size, the KC-MD3, KC-MD4.5 and KC-MD7.5 are built with the same strict quality standards as the larger throughput capacity Knelson Concentrators.

"As a ore beneficiation investigator through our laboratory at the University, we have made experiments and tests in Venezuelan gold and other heavy minerals. One of our machines is the KC 3" for gravity concentration. We have tested material from a pond that has a grade of 0.829 g/ton in grains 81,25% 400 mesh. In second step, where we controlled pulp, % solid weight, feed, water fluid and we recover 8,49 g/ton. Also, the equipment is currently used in the student practices every semester, in a subject named Mineral Preparation and Concentration in 4th year plan for the future mining engineer." - Monica Martiz, Mining Engineer - Universidad Central de Venezuela, Venezuela ...more > >
