TORONTO, Canada - Mr. Michael Beer; Managing Director of Australian-based Range River Gold Ltd. was announced as the lucky winner of the complimentary Gravity Recoverable Gold (GRG) Test offered by Knelson Gravity Solutions at the 2004 Prospectors and Development Association of Canada (PDAC) conference held in Toronto on March 7th to 10th. Mr. Beer's business card was drawn from over 200 entrants who had dropped their card into the draw box at the booth during the conference.
"We have admired Knelson for many years, and our Indee gold project in the Pilbara in north west Australia is reaching the point that would make a GRG test a sound idea. Thank you again for this prize," commented Michael Beer when notified about his good fortune.
"Ever since gold broke through the $350oz. barrier we have experienced tremendous growth in demand for GRG testwork," commented Ish Grewal, Manager of Knelson's Research and Technology Centre. "The response to the contest and the interest expressed at the PDAC was further indication that things are really ramping-up in the gold industry," added Grewal.
The Gravity Recoverable Gold (GRG) test has become the industry standard lab test used to determine the theoretical maximum amount of gold that can be recovered from an ore sample. The GRG test was pioneered by Dr. Andre Laplante of McGill University in Montreal. The Knelson Research and Technology Centre has adapted the test to enable it to be used for PGMs and other precious metals.
As an adjunct to the GRG test, Knelson Gravity Solutions has developed KC-MOD*Pro a predictive modeling program used to accurately scale-up lab results to full scale operations.
